Project Manager – Shipbuilding

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead GUDD shipbuilding and offshore projects, with a focus on steelwork, hull construction, section and block assembly, welding, and installation.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, coordinating, and managing project execution according to schedule and agreed scope

• Organising production activities together with supervisors and foremen

• Managing manpower, equipment, materials, and work priorities

• Monitoring project progress, productivity, man-hours, costs, and deadlines

• Coordinating steelwork, hull assembly, welding, erection, and related production activities

• Acting as the main operational contact between GUDD, the shipyard, and client representatives

• Monitoring work quality, HSE requirements, and compliance with technical documentation

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, WPS, work packages, and project documentation

• Identifying delays, additional works, technical issues, and project risks

• Preparing progress reports, manpower forecasts, and project performance updates

Requirements:

• Proven project management experience in shipbuilding, steel construction, or heavy industrial projects

• Strong understanding of shipbuilding production processes, steelwork, assembly, and welding

• Experience managing supervisors, foremen, welders, fitters, and other production personnel

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation

• Experience with production planning, manpower allocation, progress, and cost control

• Good understanding of quality and HSE requirements

• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage client and shipyard communication professionally

• Good English language skills
